How to write a Pop Song

Pop song writing is not an easy task. Passion is needed to writing a song. You do not need to be an expert to write a song; you only need a musical idea. The most difficult part in writing any kind of song is the beginning. The start of the song will represent the entire song, and when a song does not start well, it will not end well too. It is necessary to have a word or two in your mind to start a song. Before we can write a pop song, it is necessary to understand what a pop song is.

Usually, the audiences of pop music are the younger generation. It is commercially recorded in a clear and short but, has a peculiar originality. Normally, a song span is 3 to 4 minutes.   It is beneficial to have an idea of what song you will write. Since, these days many pop songs are being produced, one should think of a song that has its distinct tune and lyrics.

It is particularly necessary to come up with the first lines of words that fit to the desired topic. These words are called verse. After that, the chorus would be the next one. The most captivating part of the song is the chorus. It is on the chorus part where most listener can familiarize the song.  The chorus is part of the songs that usually sticks to the head of the listener. It contrasts with the verse, and it is repeated several times. The main subject or message that the song wants to deliver is being expressed on the chorus. Usually, the title is also found here. Next is the bridge, which has a different tune. The bridge is commonly used to bring in a lot of feelings from the listeners. It is up to you if you want to end the song using the coda.

If, you are done with these things, you can have someone play it, or you can play yourself, if you know to use either the guitar or piano. Pop song writing needs a lot of effort to be able to captivate each listener and remembers its every word.
